Successful large-scale solar projects are built on strong partnerships. That’s why our friends at Seal Solar, a renewable energy company based in Arkansas, partnered with the team at Lightwave to create a large-scale solar system for Baptist Health. Combining the expertise of both teams, the project was collaboratively designed, engineered, and installed from the ground up.

In 2024, Lightwave and Seal Solar broke ground on the project at Baptist Health’s 49-acre land near Stuttgart, Arkansas, marking the beginning of a partnership-driven effort to turn this site into a source of solar energy.

“Baptist Health is excited to be a part of this new solar farm — a step toward generating cleaner, more sustainable power while reducing costs,” said Brent Beaulieu, CFO for Baptist Health. “This project reflects our commitment to being a greener organization and builds on our strong record of energy efficiency, demonstrated by our 83% Energy Star Rating at Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock.”

What many people don’t realize about large-scale solar projects is just how much detail goes into every stage of the process. From design and engineering to installation, both teams worked together to ensure every module, racking component, and electrical connection was carefully installed and inspected. Even the smallest details, down to every nut and bolt, matter when it comes to delivering a safe, reliable, and efficient solar system.

“Seal Solar has a long history of working with businesses, farmers, and non-profits across Arkansas to incorporate solar and storage into their energy needs mix. We are proud to be working with the team at Baptist Health to help meet their sustainability and cost-saving needs.” – John Buckley, Project Manager overseeing the construction of the project.

Construction wrapped up in early 2026, bringing this impressive 13 MW solar project to completion. The system features 221 rows of 590-watt bifacial solar panels, totaling 22,300 panels across the site, and is designed to generate approximately 22,683,343 kWh of electricity annually.
