Everyday Solar Energy
Your solar + storage system will help power your home every day. A mobile app will provide insight into your energy use so you can maximize your solar generation. Any extra solar energy goes directly into your batteries for whenever you need it — day or night!
Backup Power
In the event of a power grid outage, your home will automatically draw electric power from your solar + storage system. Your mobile app will notify you of the grid outage, and you can keep an eye on your energy use and battery charge level. Your batteries will recharge when the sun rises the next day!
What about net metering?
There is no net metering in our area which means the utility will not buy excess solar energy at retail rates. If you aren’t ready to make such a large investment, we can install solar first and batteries later. With LightWave Solar, you can always expand your system or add battery storage in the future!

Tesla Powerwall 3
The Tesla Powerwall 3 can store up to 13.5kWh, expandable to 135kWh, with a high continuous capacity of 11.5kW. This makes a single Powerwall more adept at handling large loads, from HVAC systems to well pumps, enhancing its ability in a wide range of cost-effective home and business environments. PW3 can be installed with or without solar and comes with a 10-year warranty.
Franklin aPower2
The Franklin aPower2 can store 15kWh, expandable to 204kWh, with a continuous output capacity of 10kW. It is a great solution for those who want to integrate a generator into their systems as additional security or who want to go completely off-grid. aPower2 can be installed with or without solar and comes with a 15-year warranty.
Savant Power System 20
The Savant Power System 20 stores up to 20kWh, expandable to 200kWh. Unlike Powerwall and Franklin, Savant can back support up to 1200A services, making it ideal for larger homes and businesses, and can be integrated with smart breakers you can manage on your phone. Savant Power System 20 can be installed with or without solar and comes with a 10-year warranty.
Want only batteries?
While we can install batteries without a solar array, the battery charge will deplete until you can recharge them again. However, there is an option to charge your batteries and store a certain percentage from the grid in case of a power outage in your area.
Batteries without a way to charge them are great for short term loads but we highly suggest having solar for expended outages.
